FAQ & User Guides
Everything you need to get started with P247 and get the most out of your morning brief.
Getting Started
What is P247?
P247 is a performance intelligence platform for serious athletes. It pulls data from your wearable, nutrition tracker, and training apps, then synthesises everything into a single morning brief with coaching insights. Think of it as a personal performance analyst that reads all your data so you don't have to.
Who is P247 for?
Athletes who train with data but don't have a coaching team behind them. Hyrox competitors, marathon runners, triathletes, cyclists, hybrid athletes, and anyone who owns a wearable and wants more than a recovery score. Also built for GLP-1 users who need to track body composition changes alongside their training.
What devices and apps does P247 work with?
P247 currently connects via Apple Health (which aggregates data from Apple Watch, Garmin, Whoop, Oura, and most major wearables) and Strava. If your device writes data to Apple Health, P247 can read it. More direct integrations are coming.
How do I sign up?
P247 is currently in early access. Join the waitlist on our homepage and you'll be among the first to get access when we open up.
Morning Brief
What's in the morning brief?
Your daily brief includes a recovery score with context (not just a number), sleep quality breakdown, training load status (chronic and acute), nutrition summary, coaching insights tailored to your goals, and specific recommendations for today's session. All synthesised from the previous 14 days of your data.
When does the brief arrive?
Your brief is generated fresh each morning and available in the app before your session. The goal is simple: know what your body is telling you before you train, not after.
Can I view past briefs?
Yes. Your brief history is stored and accessible anytime. This is useful for spotting patterns over time, like how your recovery trends after heavy training weeks or how nutrition changes affect your readiness.
AI Performance Coach
What can I ask the AI coach?
Anything about your training, recovery, nutrition, body composition, or race preparation. It has full context of your data history, goals, injury status, and previous conversations. Ask it why your recovery dipped, whether you should push or pull back today, how your protein intake is tracking, or what your training load looks like heading into race week.
Does the AI coach remember previous conversations?
Yes. It maintains a memory of key facts you've shared (injuries, preferences, goals, feedback) and adapts its advice over time. If you tell it you have a knee injury, it won't suggest heavy squats next week.
Is my coaching data private?
Your coaching agent is personal to you. Your data, conversations, and memories are never shared with other users. Privacy is a core principle, not an afterthought.
Data & Integrations
What data does P247 use?
Recovery metrics (HRV, resting heart rate), sleep (duration, stages, efficiency), training activities (type, duration, heart rate zones, training load), body composition (weight, skeletal muscle mass, body fat), nutrition (calories, protein, fibre, macros), running mechanics (cadence, ground contact time, VO2 Max), and vitals (blood oxygen, respiratory rate).
How does Strava connect work?
P247 connects to Strava via OAuth. You authorise the connection once, and P247 pulls your activity data automatically. Your Strava credentials are never stored by P247.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
For the richest experience, yes. Apple Health is the primary data source for vitals, sleep, and recovery metrics. If you use a Garmin or Whoop that syncs to Apple Health, that works too. Direct integrations with other platforms are on the roadmap.
Body Composition & GLP-1
Can P247 track body composition on GLP-1?
Yes. This is one of the reasons P247 exists. GLP-1 medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide) cause weight loss, but the critical question is whether you're losing fat or muscle. P247 tracks skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage, and lean mass trends over time so you can see exactly what's changing.
What body composition data does P247 support?
InBody scan results, DEXA data, and smart scale measurements. If it records weight, body fat, and muscle mass, P247 can track it. Regular scans (monthly or more) give the best trend data.
